Download Sony Bridge for Mac.
Bridge install by double-clicking on the program once it has finished downloading and follow the instructions on the screen
Take your Sony Xperia U and connect it to your Mac via USB
Start Bridge for Mac
Bridge will now detect your device and automatically search for updates to software
If new software is found, a pop-up window will appear and guide you through the process of updating
Once the update is complete, disconnect your device
